Hi All - Can't thank all of you enough for your prayers and kinds words and thoughts and packages and flowers and messages of hope and support and visits with loving hugs (my favorite). One woman has never been so blessed to be touched by so many in a lifetime. My exponential family.
Here is where I will post the latest news for those who are asking. I will try to be succinct and informative as a nursing note so that you don't spend your days wading through philosophy to get to information. I've had many emails and texts asking what's happening now, so I will get right to it.
Wednesday was my first oncology appt. It was nothing but hopeful. We didn't speak in timelines and prognosis, but information - data - just like we teach in school. The attitude of the doc was just, here it is and we're going to take care of it. Like you I like a little more definite info, but we are in the information gathering stage and that can't be rushed or ignored.
There will be a core sample taken next week wherein they will obtain a sample from the liver tumors and start the molecular studies. Those studies will take about 5 days. And so it will go, step by step adding information to information. The pancreatic tumors don't look typical and that can be a good thing, once we know more about them. But again, just at the data gathering stage.
I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and good thoughts. I feel the miracle of them everyday. They sustain me when I am weak and give me hope when I have little. That is all I ask of anyone going on this journey with me, just prayers because I think that is the best of all we can do.
Thank you, thank you, thank you and hugs to you!!!
Karen
